This one day course will provide a solid and practical introduction to Waste Collection Permits. The course meets the ‘technical competence’ requirement of the National Waste Collection Permit
Office (NWCPO) and the requirement of the new Waste Management Regulations 2016 that “staff of the permit holder undertake relevant training or attain relevant qualifications”. It is suitable for
people with no previous experience of collection permits or those who wish to refresh their knowledge. Training will be provided by Karen Fahy and Ian Murphy, both of whom have worked in the
waste management industry from many of years. The course will address the requirements of waste collection permits and identify the main issues facing permit holders and how to address
